Explore Pattaya

Pattaya is a resort city in Eastern Thailand, located on the Gulf of Thailand about 100 km southeast of Bangkok. As of 2025, the city has a population of 351,391, making it the eighth-largest city in Thailand and the second-largest in Chonburi Province.  It serves as the center of the Pattaya-Chonburi Metropolitan Area, a conurbation with nearly 1 million residents. 

Historically a quiet fishing village, Pattaya transformed into a major tourist destination during the Vietnam War, when U.S. servicemen began visiting for rest and recreation.  It was officially granted city status in 1978.

Today, Pattaya is known for its vibrant beaches—Pattaya Beach, Jomtien Beach, and Naklua Beach—as well as attractions like the Sanctuary of Truth, Nong Nooch Tropical Garden, and the Pattaya Floating Market.While long associated with nightlife and entertainment, the city has been rebranding itself as a family-friendly, wellness, and MICE tourism (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibitions) hub in 2026
